Rooms
All rooms are equipped with a private toilet, bath and/or shower, hairdryer, cable television (30 channels), and a direct-dial telephone.
The rooms are furnished with rustic pine furniture and equipped with comfortable box-spring beds with very high-quality mattresses. Beautiful handmade patchwork bedspreads are placed over the beds. Each room offers the opportunity to prepare a nice cup of tea or coffee. There is also a folder available for you to peruse with all kinds of interesting information.
Most rooms overlook the tastefully decorated garden or the water of ‘t Boerenverdriet’. In the summer you can sit in the garden and enjoy the flowers, the singing birds or the pleasure boats floating by. You can also stroll through the peaceful Edam or do a bit of shopping in the nearby town centre. And if you would like to explore the area a bit further, you can also rent a bicycle.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served every morning from 07:30 – 10:00 in the restaurant hall. On request, you can also have breakfast earlier or later. For a small fee, we also serve breakfast in your room.
Breakfast includes warm, crispy rolls, various meats, cheese, cornflakes, various types of yoghurt, a boiled egg, various jams, honey, chocolate sprinkles, hazelnut spread and fresh fruit.
You can also choose from various fruit juices, freshly brewed coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

If you stay at the hotel for several days, you won’t be bored. Many famous sights are just a stone’s throw away from Edam.

Don’t forget
Every Wednesday in July and August, the traditional cheese markets are held in Edam.
In addition, there is a bus to the center of Amsterdam every half hour, so you can safely leave your car in Edam.
In the evening, you can dine in our cozy restaurant, but you do need to make a reservation for this.

Couldn’t be better
We had a wonderful meal and drinks, it couldn't be better, the waitress who told us about the wine did so with great enthusiasm and the wines went wonderfully with the food, it just couldn't be better!
Lovely terrace
It is really nice that we can use the catering again. I find the location very pleasant and the service hospitable. In the summer it is so nice to sit on the terrace. As soon as the weather permits, we can be found on the terrace.

Beautifully located and very special hotel in the heart of Edam. Excellent beds, nicely decorated rooms. In the evening we had a delicious dinner in the very atmospheric restaurant. The breakfast was well taken care of, fitting for a hotel in this price range. Not unimportant, very friendly staff.

The location is very picturesque
The location is very picturesque and very quiet on the water with a very nice view of a small historic shipyard and old Edam. The bedrooms are not large, but furnished with care, very clean. There are fresh flowers everywhere!

Characteristic buildings
The woodwork in the characteristic buildings has been beautifully renovated and the kitchen focuses even more on organic regional products, without significant price increases: excellent! We enjoy, among other things, deliciously tender, organic tournedos from Texel with cream of baked beetroot, roasted sweet potato, red onion and masala sauce. The wine list offers sufficient variation, the service is cordial and in the summer there is a nice garden terrace by the water.

Overshadowed by old support beams and dominated by a magnificent staircase, you can feast your eyes on paintings, etchings, drawings, etc. by artists who meant a lot to the region, such as Hering, Van Nieuwenhoven, Bleys, Sluyters, Cassiers and Nieuwenkamp.
